Genealogy Event at Aitkin Library

April 21, 2015, Tuesday 2:00 PM at the Aitkin Library
Our Genealogists, Ella Klein and Jolyne Fisher will explain our Genealogy Collection and hold a workshop for beginners on how to begin your family research and where and how to search.

If you have any genealogy information on your family bring it along, they will help you turn chaos into structure that you can build on.  If not just some family names will get you started. If you are not a beginner and need help with a “brick wall” feel free to come. There will be volunteers who will try to help you get past it.

The Aitkin Library is at 111 N. Howard, Croswell, MI.  There is no cost for this workshop

Volunteer Training at Sanilac County Historic Village and Museum

April 25 and May 2, 2015 Saturdays: Volunteer Training
This is your chance to find out how much fun and exciting it can be to volunteer at the Museum!

Sanilac County Historical Society has developed a volunteer training program for 2015.  The training programs will start at 9am and go until about 4pm. This year’s training will have some similarities to last years, but will be more comprehensive and flexible.  We are also planning to make it morning and afternoon with participants being able to choose from several classes in the afternoon to suit the interests of each person.  If you have ideas or topics you would like to see covered, please send an email to gilorris@yahoo.com.

There will be additional training sessions offered for those interested in becoming building or event chairpersons as well as our current chairpersons early in May.  All are invited and encouraged to attend any and all of our training events.  For more information, call our office at 810 622-9946.

We need you, “on Stage or off Stage”,

Volunteers are the people who bring the Historic Village to Life!
